Wednesday, February 10 is the first day of Lent and our Ash Wednesday Service will be in the Sanctuary that night at 6:15. The service will include scripture reading, calls for repentance and confession, and the imposition of ashes. For centuries, Christians around the world have participated in Ash Wednesday Services. Children’s Choirs will meet at their regular times, and we will have our weekly meal, but other activities are canceled; the Ash Wednesday Service is for everyone. Mark this date on your calendar as we begin to prepare ourselves for Easter.
